Solomon scores twice in Sioux Falls Stampede’s win over Lincoln Stars

The Sioux Falls Stampede bested the Lincoln Stars 6-4 on Saturday, March 21, 2025 at Ice Box.

The Stampede took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Brent Solomon. Matthew Grimes assisted.

The Stampede made it 2-0 with a goal from J.j. Monteiro in the first period, assisted by Austin Baker.

The Stampede’s Reid Varkonyi increased the lead to 3-0 late in the first, assisted by Noah Urness and Waylon Esche.

The second period ended with a 3-2 lead for the Stampede.

Brent Solomon increased the lead to 4-2 with a goal early in the third period, assisted by J.j. Monteiro and Austin Baker.

Daniel Shlaine narrowed the gap to 4-3 with a goal one minute later, assisted by Dashel Oliver and Kade Kohanski.

Daniel Shlaine also tied the game 4-4 with a goal three minutes later, assisted by Etienne Lessard and Gio Digiulian.

Alexei Vlasov also took the lead with a goal four minutes later, assisted by Noah Urness and J.j. Monteiro.

The Stampede increased the lead to 6-4 with 01.28 remaining of the third after a goal from Noah Urness.

The Stars were whistled for 12 penalties, while the Stampede received nine penalties.

The Stampede chalked up four straight wins.
