The Maine Nordiques lagged behind ahead of the third period in their game on Friday, March 20, 2025 against the Northeast Generals at The Colisee.
But the team overcame the odds to win 6-4.
The Generals started off strong and took the lead right after the puck drop with William-Francisco Parent scoring 12 seconds, assisted by Finnegan Connor and Rich Rucireto.
The Nordiques tied the game 1-1 in the first period when Tomek Haula struck.
Five goals were scored in the second period, and the Generals led 4-3 going in to the third period.
Usko Laaksonen tied it up 4-4 with a goal early in the third period, assisted by Laurent Trepanier and Kellen Murphy.
Luke Chappelle also took the lead with a goal nine minutes later, assisted by Connor Mcnaughton and Alexandre Pellerin.
The Nordiques increased the lead to 6-4 with 17 seconds remaining of the third after a goal from Laurent Trepanier.
