Cornell Big Red wins in overtime thriller and move on

Cornell Big Red has won against Quinnipiac 3-2 in a game that went to overtime, in the playoff knock-out game on Friday, March 20, 2025, and will advance.

Cornell’s Tim Rego scored the game-winning goal.

The Big Red took the lead with a minute left in the first period, with a goal from Jonathan Castagna. Tim Rego and Ryan Walsh assisted.

Andon Cerbone scored late in the second period, assisted by Travis Treloar.

Chris Pelosi took the lead with a goal late in the third period, assisted by Charlie Leddy and Alex Power.

The Big Red tied the score 2-2 with 01.39 remaining of the third after a goal from Kyler Kovich, assisted by Jake Kraft.

In overtime, it took 14:39 before Tim Rego scored the game-winner for the team, assisted by Dalton Bancroft and Ryan Walsh.
