On Monday at 9:33 p.m. a heat advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Tuesday at 9 p.m. for Grand Valley.
The NWS informs, “High temperatures up to 106 degrees expected, and overnight low temperatures in the 70s.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” says the NWS.

• For outdoor workers, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recommends regular rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas.
• If someone succumbs to the heat, promptly relocate them to a cool, shaded location.
