NAITASIRI, Central Division — A 5.1 magnitude quake struck close to the Fiji Islands on Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 20:23 UTC (08:23 local time). The epicenter was south of the Fiji Islands, at a depth of 575 km.
