A 5.0 magnitude quake hit near Port-Olry on Friday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
At 23:44 UTC (10:44 local time), a tremor shook the region at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter about 93 km north-northwest of Port-Olry.

Two tremors closeby past week
Two earthquakes greater than magnitude 2.5 have been detected in the area in the past week. Each was centered close to Sola, with the more significant — a 6.0 magnitude event — hitting prior to this quake. The second, a 5.1 magnitude tremor, jolted on Jul. 25.
