HUARMEY PROVINCE, Ancash — A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred near Huarmey on Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor jolted at 07:58 UTC (02:58 local time), with its epicenter roughly 113 km southwest of Huarmey and a depth of 10 km.
