A 5.2 magnitude quake struck close to Mid-Atlantic Ridge around midday Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

At 14:12 UTC (13:12 local time), a tremor hit the region at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter south of Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.1 event, but later upgraded it to 5.2.
