On Sunday at 2:43 a.m. the National Weather Service released an updated red flag warning valid between noon and 10 p.m. for Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area, Paradox Valley and North Fork.
Winds are expected to be southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph and relative humidity 7 to 12%.
“Elevated fire danger is expected. Fires will catch and spread rapidly and erratically,” explains the NWS.
