Update: Fire weather watch for Colorado River Headwaters for Wednesday – high fire danger

On Monday at 8:05 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated fire weather watch valid for Wednesday between noon and 9 p.m. for Colorado River Headwaters.

Residents can expect winds to be west 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph and relative humidity 10 to 15%.

“Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution with any outdoor burning,” comments the NWS.

According to the NWS, a fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
