A 5.2 magnitude quake occurred near Severo-Kuril’sk on Friday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor jolted at 16:05 UTC (03:05 local time), with its epicenter roughly 254 km east-southeast of Severo-Kuril’sk and a depth of 10 km.
