Update: Earthquake hits region near Neiafu, Tonga on May 26 – 5.0 magnitude reported

A 5.0 magnitude quake shook close to Neiafu on Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 19:25 UTC (07:25 local time), a tremor jolted the area at a depth of 119 km, with its epicenter about 153 km north of Neiafu.
