Update: Seismic activity on May 20 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake southeast of Easter Island reported

EASTER ISLAND, Valparaíso — A 5.0 magnitude quake shook southeast of Easter Island on Wednesday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor struck the area at 02:46 UTC (20:46 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter southeast of Easter Island of southeast of Easter Island.
