Update: Earthquake jolts region close to Miyako, Japan on May 4 – 5.2 magnitude reported

A 5.2 magnitude quake occurred close to Miyako on Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which shook the area at 23:54 UTC (09:54 local time), was centered roughly 103 km east-northeast of Miyako. It occurred at a depth of 40 km.
