The Met Office has announced a Yellow fog warning for East of England and London and South East England until Saturday morning. All local areas affected are listed below.
A Yellow weather warning is in place during Saturday, starting from around 4am and running until 8am. Forecasters say widespread fog is expected to roll in to the impacted regions and cause significant reduction in visibility.
The Yellow alert for fog was issued at 3:13am on Saturday, April 25.
A Met Office forecast said: “Extensive and in places thick fog is expected within the highlighted region, with visibility in places reduced below 100 m. Although traffic is likely to be lighter given that it is the weekend, there is still potential for delays and increased risk of car accidents as traffic flows increase early this morning. Fog will tend to lift and clear from most places by mid-morning.”

Slower journey times with delays to bus and train services possible, and increased risk of car accidents; There is a small chance of delays or cancellations to flights.
What should you do in hazy conditions?
Give yourself the best chance of avoiding delays by checking road conditions if driving, leaving extra journey time, or amending plans if necessary. Make sure you know how to switch on your fog lights, and check they are working before setting off on your journey. What is a yellow weather warning?
The Met Office has three categories of weather warning, depending on the likely impact of severe weather and also how likely it is to strike in a particular area.
A yellow warning is issued when weather conditions are expected to disrupt travel and traffic and may impact on daily routines but are not likely to pose a risk to life or property.
An amber warning is more severe and advises people to think about changing their plans to minimise the risk.
A red warning means weather conditions are expected to be dangerous with widespread damage to property and a risk to life, with the public usually advised to avoid travelling.
The Yellow weather alert for fog will remain in effect until 8am on Saturday.
