The National Weather Service released a fire weather watch at 7:48 p.m. on Saturday valid for Monday between noon and 8 p.m. for Lower Colorado River and Colorado River Headwaters.

Expect winds to be southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph and relative humidity 11 to 16%.

“Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution with any outdoor burning,” states the NWS.

According to the NWS, a fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
