A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Ascension Island region on Tuesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 19:53 UTC (18:53 local time). The epicenter was of Ascension Island region, at a depth of 10 km.
