Update: Feb. 20 – 5.2 magnitude earthquake registered near central East Pacific Rise

A 5.2 magnitude quake struck near central East Pacific Rise on Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 12:56 UTC (05:56 local time). The epicenter was of central East Pacific Rise, at a depth of 10 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 4.9 but later upgraded to 5.2.
