At 12:39 a.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service released a red flag warning valid between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Kit Carson County.
The NWS states that the warning was issued for wind and low relative humidity. Expect winds to be northwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph and relative humidity as low as 17 percent.
