Update: 5.0 magnitude earthquake hits close to central East Pacific Rise on Feb. 1

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to central East Pacific Rise Sunday night.

A tremor jolted the area at 06:44 UTC (23:44 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located of central East Pacific Rise and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
