HUASCO PROVINCE, Atacama — A 5.2 magnitude quake was recorded near Vallenar Wednesday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor shook at 06:38 UTC (03:38 local time), with its epicenter located approximately 67 km west-southwest of Vallenar and a depth of 45 km.
