According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.0 magnitude quake struck near Mid-Atlantic Ridge on Friday around midday.

A tremor hit the area at 13:29 UTC (12:29 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated south of Mid-Atlantic Ridge and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
