Ozone pollution alert for North Texas Wednesday

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality reported an air quality alert at 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday in effect until Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The alert is for Wise, Denton, Collin, Parker, Tarrant, Dallas, Hood, Johnson, Hunt, Rockwall, Kaufman, Ellis and Henderson counties.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has issued an Ozone Action Day for the Dallas-Fort Worth area for Wednesday, October 15, 2025, with atmospheric conditions expected to be favorable for producing high levels of ozone air pollution that day, according to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Residents can help prevent ozone pollution by sharing a ride, walking, riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work, avoiding drive-through lanes, conserving energy, and keeping your vehicle properly tuned.
