Update: Earthquake of 5.1 magnitude detected near Nabire, Indonesia on Oct. 3

NABIRE REGENCY, Central Papua — Friday afternoon, a 5.1 magnitude quake was registered close to Nabire, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor hit at 06:02 UTC (15:02 local time), with its epicenter located about 92 km east-northeast of Nabire and a depth of 10 km.
