Update: Seismic activity on Sept. 27 – 5.5 magnitude earthquake near Sola, Vanuatu recorded

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.5 magnitude quake occurred near Sola Saturday evening.

The tremor jolted the area at 08:10 UTC (19:10 local time). It occurred at a depth of 68 km with the epicenter located roughly 95 km west of Sola.
