A 5.2 magnitude quake was registered near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Thursday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor jolted the region at 09:59 UTC (20:59 local time). The epicenter was located roughly 143 km southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 35 km.
