HUAYTARÁ PROVINCE, Huancavelica — A 5.0 magnitude quake was reported close to Vilcanchos Monday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor jolted the area at 01:52 UTC (20:52 local time). It occurred at a depth of 95 km with the epicenter situated about 31 km west-southwest of Vilcanchos.
