PINOTEPA NACIONAL, Oax. — Monday afternoon, a 5.2 magnitude quake was recorded close to Corralero, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor shook the area at 22:33 UTC (16:33 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated roughly 5 km east-northeast of Corralero and occurred at a depth of 10 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.1 but later upgraded to 5.2.
