The National Hurricane Center’s 10 p.m. Saturday advisory reported that Tropical Storm Fernand is in the Atlantic Ocean, 325 miles southeast of Bermuda. Packing maximum sustained winds of 40 mph, the system is tracking to the north-northeast at 16 mph.

“… Fernand should move well east of Bermuda and across the open waters of the subtropical North Atlantic”, according to meteorologists. “Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours.” They also said “A weakening trend is expected by Tuesday.”
