The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.4 magnitude quake occurred close to Mid-Indian Ridge at midday on Saturday.

A tremor struck the area at 08:05 UTC (13:05 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated of Mid-Indian Ridge and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
