According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake struck near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on Wednesday around midday.

A tremor hit the area at 01:48 UTC (12:48 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 138 km southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
