An updated report was issued from the National Weather Service on Saturday at 8:54 p.m. for showers until 9:45 p.m. for Central Colorado.

Residents can expect wind gusts of up to 50 mph.

“At 8:54 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a line of showers extending from 6 miles north of Manila Village to over Arvada, or extending from 24 miles east of Denver to 11 miles northwest of Denver, moving south at 45 mph,” according to the NWS. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.”

Locations impacted by the alert include Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Thornton, Arvada, Westminster, Centennial, southwestern Broomfield, Highlands Ranch, northern Castle Rock, Commerce City, Parker, Littleton, Northglenn, Brighton, Englewood, Wheat Ridge, Golden, Greenwood Village and Superior.

The NWS adds, “Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions.”

The full list of affected locations includes:

• Jefferson and West Douglas counties above 6,000 feet/Gilpin/Clear Creek/Northeast Park counties below 9,000 feet

• Boulder/Jefferson counties below 6,000 feet/West Broomfield County

• North Douglas County below 6,000 feet/Denver/West Adams and Arapahoe counties/East Broomfield County

• Elbert/central and east Douglas counties above 6,000 feet

• Central and East Adams and Arapahoe counties

• North and Northeast Elbert County below 6,000 feet/North Lincoln County
