According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.0 magnitude quake struck near Isangel on Thursday around midnight.

The tremor, which rattled the region at 13:39 UTC (00:39 local time), was centered about 71 km northwest of Isangel. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
