Sunday morning, a 5.2 magnitude quake was reported close to the South Sandwich Islands, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook the area at 09:30 UTC (08:30 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter located east of the South Sandwich Islands.
