Update: Earthquake of 5.0 magnitude reported close to Port-Vila, Vanuatu on June 30

A 5.0 magnitude quake was registered near Port-Vila Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which shook the area at 23:48 UTC (10:48 local time), was centered about 53 km northwest of Port-Vila. It occurred at a depth of 35 km.
