A 7.3 magnitude quake was detected near 2025 Sand Point Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor slammed the region at 8:37 p.m. (9:37 a.m. local time). The epicenter was located of 2025 Sand Point, at a depth of 24 miles.
