ALEUTIANS EAST BOROUGH, AK—A 6.2 magnitude quake was recorded near Sand Point Sunday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
It was reported that a tremor slammed the region at 10:28 p.m. (2:28 p.m. local time). The epicenter was located approximately 50 miles south-southeast of Sand Point, at a depth of 29 miles.
