A 5.1 magnitude quake was recorded close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Sunday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

It was reported that a tremor hit the region at 17:09 UTC (04:09 local time). The epicenter was located approximately 144 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 10 km.
