According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Sunday morning.

At 15:03 UTC (02:03 local time), the region was shaken by a tremor. The earthquake jolted at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter about 145 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
