EASTER ISLAND, Valparaíso—Sunday morning, a 5.2 magnitude quake was detected near Easter Island region, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor jolted the area at 08:31 UTC (01:31 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter located near Easter Island region.
