Update: Earthquake hits region close to Sabang, Indonesia on July 4 – 5.2 magnitude detected

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.2 magnitude quake jolted close to Sabang on Friday around midday.

At 05:33 UTC (12:33 local time), the area was struck by a tremor. The earthquake shook at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter roughly 42 km west-northwest of Sabang.
