Update: Earthquake measuring 5.2 strikes area close to Nikolski, AK on June 28

ALEUTIANS WEST CENSUS AREA, AK — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.2 magnitude quake occurred near Nikolski Saturday evening.

The tremor shook at 6:08 a.m. (7:08 p.m. local time), with its epicenter located approximately 101 miles south of Nikolski and a depth of 6 miles.
