Seismic activity on July 14: Earthquake close to Burica, Panama registered – magnitude 6.2

BARÚ DISTRICT, CHIRIQUÍ — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 6.2 magnitude quake rocked near Burica at midday on Monday.

A tremor hit the area at 17:16 UTC (11:16 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was positioned roughly 206 km south of Burica and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
