ALMERÍA, AN — the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.2 magnitude quake occurred near San José Monday morning.

The tremor shook the area at 05:13 UTC (07:13 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter situated roughly 21 km southeast of San José.

The USGS DYFI report indicates that moderate shaking was registered, with people in San Miguel de Salinas, El Ejido, Vera, Cuevas del Almanzora and Mojácar among those who felt the tremor.
