INYO COUNTY, CA — the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 4.0 magnitude quake hit close to Olancha Sunday morning.

A tremor struck the area at 5:27 a.m. The earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 7 miles south-southwest of Olancha and occurred at a depth of just 1 mile.
