Update: Earthquake measuring 4.0 jolts area near Olancha, CA on July 13

INYO COUNTY, CA — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 4.0 magnitude quake hit near Olancha Sunday morning.

The tremor, which rattled the region at 5:27 a.m., was centered about 8 miles south-southwest of Olancha. It occurred at a depth of just 0.27 miles.
