SONOMA COUNTY, CA — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a preliminary 2.9 magnitude quake shook close to Cobb Thursday night.

The tremor struck at 10:46 p.m., with its epicenter positioned about 4 miles west-northwest of Cobb and a depth of just 1 mile.
