ILOCOS NORTE, Ilocos Region — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.5 magnitude quake jolted close to Sarrat Tuesday morning.

The tremor struck the area at 02:38 UTC (10:38 local time). It occurred at a depth of 49 km with the epicenter situated about 2 km south-southeast of Sarrat.
