Friday morning, a 5.1 magnitude quake was registered near Vilyuchinsk, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor jolted the region at 20:53 UTC (07:53 local time). The epicenter was situated approximately 138 km southeast of Vilyuchinsk, at a depth of 22 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.2 event, but later downgraded it to 5.1.
