Update: Seismic activity on Jan. 14 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake close to Dunhuang, China recorded

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.0 magnitude quake jolted near Dunhuang Wednesday morning.

The tremor hit the area at 23:18 UTC (07:18 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter situated about 288 km south of Dunhuang.
